Parijs, 1971. Delphine en Carole ontmoeten elkaar. De boerendochter Delphine gaat naar de hoofdstad om carrière te maken en ziet zich al aan het hoofd van een eigen bedrijf, iets wat in die tijd ondenkbaar was. Carole, die samen is met Manuel, is een vrolijke en dynamische activiste. De ene is stil en gesloten maar weet dat ze van vrouwen houdt. De andere beseft helemaal niet welke aantrekkingskracht haar te wachten staat. Hun ontmoeting zal hun levens een compleet en andere wending geven.
